Suffolk through to semis

Suffolk’s 1st team has made it through to the semi-finals of the Minor County Championship after finishing top of the table in the EACU 1st Team County Championships.

Suffolk’s U160 team also finished top of the table, so it’s been a great season so far for Suffolk all round.

Steve Ruthen, Suffolk’s 1st XI Captain, wrote:

“Thanks to everyone who played in the preliminary matches. By winning v Beds we qualified in an unassailable 1st place from the EACU area.

By finishing 1st we get a bye in the ΒΌ Finals, and (I think) a home draw in the Semis.

The weekend for this will be 8&9 June and I plan to make it Sunday 9 June in accordance with the majority preference.

The semi final will be v either Devon or Notts.

The Final is on Saturday 13th July and I hope we will be there.

I am grateful to everyone who played in all or some of the 6 matches so far. The team selection gets trickier now, as our team must average no more than 180.”
