4NCL Online – Season 3 Commences
In closely contested Round 1 matches, both the 1st and 2nd Anglia Avengers teams were defeated by the narrow margin of 1.5-2.5.
The 1st team match seemed destined for a 2-2 draw with all games going to White. However, the Watford B4, down on material for most of the game, somehow contrived a perpetual check against Jeff Goldberg’s exposed King.
The 2nd team match was decided by an engaging struggle on B1. The Kent Kestrels B1 won a piece on move 18, but Endry Molina put up an heroic resistance, only succumbing to a decisive tactic on move 60.
